Mixed-Use Dock Shelter System
about project
Located in Cebu City, this project involved upgrading the loading dock systems for a logistics facility handling both standard and mixed-size delivery trucks. The client needed an energy-efficient, weather-resistant, and safe docking solution to improve daily operations and loading speed.
Client’s Challenge
The main challenges were:
- Accommodating different truck sizeswithout compromising the dock seal.
- Dealing with hot and humid coastal conditions, where traditional seals degrade quickly.
- Minimizing air leakage, dust intrusion, and energy lossduring loading/unloading
Our approach and solution
We supplied a customized solution combining mechanical dock shelters and sponge dock shelters, tailored for the site’s varying dock configurations:
1. Mechanical Dock Shelters were installed at docks receiving larger or inconsistent vehicle sizes. Their collapsible frame design ensures a flexible, tight seal across various truck heights and widths.
2.Sponge Dock Shelterswere used at fixed-height docks, providing cost-effective sealing for frequent standard-sized truck visits.
Product Advantages from Jiangmen Yangtu:
1.UV- and tear-resistant curtain material for extended lifespan
2.Anti-corrosion steel frames, ideal for tropical coastal climates
3.High-compression sponge foam with quick recovery, ensuring sealing performance and long-term durability
4.Custom dimensions, engineered to match real site needs
result
The dual shelter solution achieved excellent operational flexibility while reducing temperature loss, contamination risks, and maintenance needs. The client highlighted the superior weather sealing, durability, and visual neatness of the installation. Our dock shelters are now contributing to smoother, cleaner, and more efficient logistics operations in Cebu.
